KMBA receives ASEAN award

KASAGANA-KA Mutual Benefit Association (KMBA) was awarded ninth place among the “top ten overall insurance companies and mutual benefits associations” in the 2017 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard Assessment undertaken by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). A member of the Centers for Excellence in Governance (CEG), ICD is a “non-stock, not-for-profit organization dedicated to professionalizing corporate directorship and raising the corporate governance standards of the Philippines.”

KMBA was among a total of 126 insurance companies assessed in the Philippines. Ranked first and second, respectively, were Pru Life UK and Insular Life Insurance Corporation. KMBA was the only one in the top ten among Mi-MBAs in the country. The award was given during the 69 th anniversary celebration of the Insurance Commission held in Manila on 26 January 2018.
